Painting - Watercolor Image Transferred To Laminate
Description
Commissioned by the City of La Quinta, California, to create a welcoming sign for the Historic La Quinta Cove. The city has placed the framed original in the La Quinta Museum. The image was transferred to a adhesive Laminate to be applied to a 4ft X 6ft metal sign, welcoming visitors to the Historic La Quinta Cove. This was originally drawn so that sitting in the car, driving by, the mountains would meet with the surrounding mountains. Just a wonderful experience from start to finish.

Thank you, Regina. I tried to get the mountainscape at the driver's level so that as you drive through, the mountains in the sign meet with the mountains in the cove... didn't work... but love the result anyway. Thanks for selecting this to comment on. The original is in the La Quinta Museum.

I just drove by it today and it does a nice job of welcoming people into the La Quinta Cove.
