We ARE all connected... one hand represents the gifts we enter life with; the 2nd hand represents what we put back in life... that is "Letting our love show" as we take this journey through life. How it came to be, follows:

This was created in my 2nd year in art classes, 2002, at College of the Desert. The instruction was to make marks to suggest "Anger, love (no hearts allowed), joy, work, and the last, "Self Portrait" (no faces)... Each drawing to be completed in 5 seconds.. When we got to self-portrait, I quickly drew two hands: one hand, the gifts God gives us, and the 2nd, for what we put back into life. The "final" in the class was to create a painting that utilized the "marks" for self portrait into a larger piece about... " your journey in life." The 4 quadrants form a cross and represent our four bodies: Mental, Emotional, Physical, & Spiritual... Each section, with different colors. The light pouring from the hands represents the inspiration we receive in life to make a difference, as we interact with others. The hands are that of two different races, indicating we are all connected, with another two pairs of hands in the lower right quadrant, represent those who are influenced by our actions, and, whether from our generation or the next, are inspired, by our actions, to be a positive force in the lives around us.

In essence, when we are aligned with God's plan for our lives, or when our mental, spiritual and emotional bodies are aligned in purpose, it becomes "Our Hands - God's Work"
