Description
Approaching the back of my friend's car in New Jersey, I noticed a leaf on the ground. I loaded the groceries into the trunk and looked again at the leaf. There was a heart in the middle... I told my friend that God sent us a love note. There was also another missing piece of the leaf... in the shape of an ear.. but it was upside down... so... I think that means He hears us or is listening when we pray. It made my heart smile.. So I made 2 attempts to paint it on this fragile page from an 1884 "Cyclopedia of Universal Knowledge" on the bottom of the page was a discussion of trees. Hope this makes your heart smile too.
The leaf is a "Red Maple" tree.

OH, this is wonderful, so great Maria. I love the story and relate to it with finds from the past. That heart in the middle of the leaf and the text...right down my alley. F/L.

Brian, I thank you for finding this sweet painting. I loved the fact that the leaf fell at my feet at an interesting time...and at the feet of an artist... I think He wanted to get the word out. : )
