Description
This poor piece of art has been shlepped from class to class, bruised and chipped along the way. I recreated it but mounted this fragile, abused piece and put it in a frame to demonstrate how one can endure trials and wear the wounds with grace... Another in the series of works on antique pages from an 1884 Cyclopedia of Universal Knowledge... especially their knowledge of refrigeration machines just being developed - but only for commercial use. : ) The work was actually inspired by an image of birds flying away from a feather... multiple versions existed.. I love the idea, and paired it a comforting quote from Psalm 91:4, in the Old Testament, Book of Psalms.

Maria, totally awesome work as usual... this is magnificent! The feather and birds taking flight are the perfect illustration for one of my favorite Scriptures from Psalm 91.
