Description
For a fundraiser, I was ask to create Muses from Greek mythology. I created 3: Terpsichore "delight in dancing" was one of the nine Muses and designated "goddess of dance" and chorus.[1] She lends her name to the word "terpsichoren" which means "of or relating to dance". She is usually depicted sitting down, holding a lyre, accompanying the ballerinas' choirs with her music. Her name comes from the Greek words delight) and dance"). In this instance, I have her dreaming of the dance. The full version has her holding a tambourine, while dancing. The other muses are Cleo (History) and Erato meaning "desired" or "lovely", shown with the myrtle wreath and holding a lyre
