Artist's Description
A friend and I went to Tucson for a painting retreat. It was marvelous... The rains would come, we'd struggle to find our way through the closed roads... just a fantastic adventure. Coming down from the mountain, we came upon a wash that had become passable on foot. This was my last painting on the trip, as we were leaving the next day.. A few stretches in yoga, relaxed my tired muscles... and the title popped into my mind "Salutation to the Sun".... It was a glorious sunset. when I attempted to finish the painting in my studio, .I had such trouble with the water reflections. Solution: I eliminated much of the water in the painting, as I had no picture to work from.. it became a mostly dry wash. : ))

Sure would enjoy being there right now Maria! Would readily beat the snow coming in. While typing this I'm looking above at several of your Poo images. I think they'd enjoy running around the desert too. Probably grab a handful of grapes from your other image I see. Yep!, Can see them eating grapes and hiding behind the those cactus and other plants. Nice colorful path to follow. Wonder just how much trouble they could stir up. /L/F
