Artist's Description
Hot peppers!, chili peppers... none of these terms were found in my "People's Cyclopedia of Universal Knowledge" from 1884. However, I did find the word "Pepper" on this page from the book, and created a watercolor painting which lifted my spirits. Further, I slowly took apart this worn and tired 1884 encyclopedia, and formed an idea for using this resource to lead small fund-raising workshops, where participants create their own works of art making something old new again. Simultaneously, those participants' fees donated in entirety for various charities. Additionally, the majority of profits from any antique print sales are donated to various charities in the Coachella Valley. Please enjoy the other paintings on these charming pages.

She spends one week a month teaching art to Children (and older versions of children) She...
