Title
Pear In The Square

Maria Hunt
Medium
Painting - Pure Watercolor On Antique Pages
Description
When you are unable to set up lighting to get "accurate" light and Shadow, paintings like this have to come from the imagination and perhaps memory. In painting this pear, I was confined for weeks.. I just loved the magic of watercolor as the colors mix on the paper. There is something uplifting to the spirit when the colors mix and create form. For these tired and worn pages from the "Cyclopedia of Universal Knowledge" printed in 1884, I found a new purpose:
These pages have been & continue to be used to raise funds for local charitable organizations through painting gatherings, where guests enjoy wine and lite bites and paint abstract or fun creations on antique pages and mounted on acid free paper.
Special THANKS to the following Groups on Fine Art America for featuring this painting:

Maria, so simple but so beautiful. God bless you for using your confinement as a time to bring blessings to others. f/l

Genevieve, I so thank you.... It was as much fun reading these paintings as it was it as painting them. Our writing style was so very different 130 years ago

Hi Dave, In the past, I have recast the gold medals and had Brinks deliver them to you for gold on your masterpieces... produced on such a regular basis that I am running out of gold. Of course, the diamonds and rubies are held back until I can figure out how to make a painter's "Chapeau" and have it sent. ... so don't rush on the incredible masterpiece that takes the breath away and wins the "Chapeau"... You have a wonderful day, Dave... Thanks ever so for your visit : ))
