In the Santa Rosa Mountain Preserve, Smoketrees, gray blue-green in color, grow in grace, undisturbed by encroaching developments. In May/June, they bloom with thousand of small, purple, sweet pea-like flowers. Purple blooms in the gray-shaded tree looks stately and magnificent against the mountains. This is the magic of our desert.
