Description

Painting on antique paper provides a challenge: How to get the vibrancy of
watercolor and the free flowing, intermingling of colors. Using pages from the "People's Cyclopedia of Universal Knowledge" from 1884. While it doesn't have the magic achieved on Arches paper, it does have a measure of charm, reading the text. Further, As I slowly took apart this worn and tired 1884 encyclopedia, an idea formed to use this resource to lead small fund-raising workshops, where participants create their own works of art making something old new again. Simultaneously, those participants' fees are donated in entirety for various charities. Please enjoy the other paintings on these charming pages. Profits from any antique print are donated to various charities in the Coachella Valley.
