Description
A critique was done of my full sheet ((22x30)
watercolor painting. The consensus was to get rid of the left 1/3rd of the painting. I said "but THAT is my favorite part." "Get rid of it." So I did. I severed it from the sheet but had a framer frame both parts. I took the two framed pictures to a fund-raiser for Dyslexia Foundation, this image sold immediately.. two other guests wanted it, so I sold 2 Giclees. (prints with quality paper and ink), generating excellent commissions for the charity.I still have the other 2/3s that was supposed to the THE best part.. I STILL have the unsold original of the rest of the picture. Last month, I took it out of it's frame, enhanced it, brought, sunlight in (as seen in the following 2 images). The painting reflects the real life changes in the Cabernet Sauvignon grapes as they move from the small green globes, through subtle shifts to peach, periwinkle, to the rich purple. Elegance in nature right there on the vine.
