Description
While preparing images for this Public Art Pilot project. I took pictures of the beautiful 18th Green at Desert Willows Golf Course in Palm Desert, California. Using a cart and 2 assistant's, I took pictures Facing West, left one assistant. Drove around to the opposite side of the large water hazard and left the second helper, took pictures from that perspective, facing East, and then dealt with the other two positions in relation to the first two locations. In the process, I snapped a picture of a lovely bird reflected in the water near the green.
The work is called "A birdie on the 18th. I also put a small golf ball next to the pin, suggesting a different kind of "Birdie" and bringing a smile to the faces of visitors to the boxes.
On the refreshing of the color last year, I put an "Eagle" to cover the keyhole in the computer access door. The eagle was named "Wishful Thinking" because an "Eagle" is impossible on the 18th.
On the final touches, I was unhappy with the "shading/craters" on the moon I had placed on the front and side view. As I looked down El Paseo, toward the Western mountains, there was a full moon, positioned perfectly in the sky near the mountain tops. Quickly, I modified the shading, creating perfect craters and shaded areas. Nature just amazes!!

Thank you Shoal.. I am not thinking that Kiez Germany, Beverly Hills and New York are not ready to steal these images... but they sure are a great idea for turning technology requirements into artful exhibits : )) Not sure if you have checked your visitors, but when I post anything new or someone comments on a work Kiez/BH & NY are on the spot to visit and start copying the works..

These are beautiful. They are just starting to paint these in my area. Yours look much nicer than the ones I have seen. Great work
