Description
The original plein air painting was 11x14, painted at the Thousand Palms Preserve outside Palm Springs. This painting, 24" X 48", is a studio creation. The feeling at the preserve is one of "nurturing" and a sense of calm. The sun was still touching the tops of the mountains but no clouds to illuminate the sky.
The painting is so large that my photographer made a diptych with the image. The idea being it could be hung together or separately. The coloring on the mountains was just this rich, the energy, so serene and reflective.
